The annual Online Media Awards, organised by The Drum, took place in London on Wednesday night.
We received a commendation in the Best Commercial Innovation category, a recognition of the class-leading steps we’ve taken to build a metered paywall that is both secure and easy to access for search engines and aggregators.
The changes we made with Paywall 2.0 in the summer of 2013 saw our new subscription rate increase seven-fold, while our anti-piracy measures in the autumn stamped our rampant sharing on sites like Archive.is and Scribd.
It’s great to see that success recognised by the experts on the Online Media Awards judging panel. But that’s enough blogging for now – time to get back to our innovations that might make the shortlist for 2015.
